How Does Bazuka Extra Strength Gel Work?

Bazuka Extra Strength Gel contains a keratolytic called salicylic acid that breaks down the hard skin of warts and verrucas.

Salicylic acid, the active ingredient in Bazuka Extra Strength Gel, softens the skin by breaking down a protein called keratin.

Keratin is an important structural component of hair, nails, and the outer layer of skin.

The gel dries to form a protective water-resistant barrier around the affected area. This protects the area from infection, while also preventing the infected cells from spreading to other parts of the body or to other people.

How long does Bazuka Extra Strength Gel take to work?

It can take up to 12 weeks of treatment with Bazuka Extra Strength Gel for the wart, verruca, corn or callus to clear up.

Speak to your doctor if your wart or verruca does not clear up after using Bazuka Extra Strength Gel for 12 weeks.

How Do I Use Bazuka Extra Strength Gel?

Before you begin using Bazuka Extra Strength Gel, read the patient information leaflet provided. Always follow the instructions carefully.

Each pack of Bazuka Extra Strength Gel contains:

  • A 6g tube of Bazuka Extra Strength Gel
  • An emery board
  • An instruction leaflet

You should apply a small amount of gel to the affected area. Using more Bazuka gel than you should will not clear up your symptoms faster, but can increase your risk of side effects.

Make sure you only apply the Bazuka Extra Strength Gel to the affected area.

Do not use the gel on broken or inflamed skin.

Do not use Bazuka Extra Strength Gel on your face, on or around your genitals, or on your armpits or breasts.

Always wash your hands after applying Bazuka gel or using the emery board.

Do not share the emery board with other people.

Take care not to get the gel in your eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as on damaged skin, wounds, and grazes.

If you accidentally get the gel on an area of healthy skin, wash the area with soap and warm water to remove the gel.
