What is Avamys nasal spray?

Avamys is a nasal spray marketed by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for allergic rhinitis.

Allergic rhinitis is the name given to inflammation in the mucous membranes of the nose resulting from allergies. The inflammation in the nose can cause sneezing, nasal itching, irritation and sometimes pain inside the nose.

Avamys is used to prevent these symptoms from flaring up and getting in the way of your life.

With Prescription Doctor's UK pharmacy, you can order Avamys nasal spray online. We offer a fast and discreet next day delivery on orders approved before 3pm on weekdays.

How does Avamys work?

An allergic reaction is an autoimmune response to a substance such as pollen (hay fever), animal dander or other particles. When these allergens are present in the body, the immune system issues a response to fight the substance.

Avamys nasal spray blocks this action, preventing the symptoms before they occur.

Avamys does not provide immediate relief from the symptoms of an allergy. You should use Avamys regularly to prevent symptoms of allergic rhinitis from arising.

How do I use Avamys?

For the best results, begin your treatment prior to exposure to an allergen. For allergies towards pollen, begin your treatment a few days before the pollen season.

Before you can use your Avamys nasal spray, you first need to prime the medicine.

Start by vigorously shaking the bottle for a couple of seconds. Due to the viscosity of the medicine, it's important to shake it so that it can be administered as a fine mist.

To prepare the bottle, press the button all the way down six times, or until you see a fine mist. When doing this, keep the bottle upright and facing away from you.

Always take the recommended prescribed dosage from the doctor.

The typical dosage of this medicine is two sprays in each nostril daily.

Do not use more Avamys than prescribed by your doctor.

Avoid spraying Avamys in your eyes. If you accidentally get particles of the suspension in your eyes, wash your eyes with warm water.
