How Does HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream Work?
When an allergen or irritant causes the immune system to release histamine, the inflammation of the blood vessels causes the skin to become red, itchy and painful.
HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream contains a corticosteroid called hydrocortisone. This mild steroid reduces itching, redness, irritation and inflammation for up to 12 hours.
The cream also moisturises the skin, and encourages healing.
How long does HC45 Cream take to work?
It may take between 3 and 7 days of using HC45 Cream to relieve your symptoms. If your symptoms do not improve, or indeed become worse after these 7 days, stop using HC45 Cream and speak to a doctor or a pharmacist.
How Do I Use HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream?
HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream is a smooth white cream that can be applied directly and sparingly to the inflamed areas of the skin once or twice a day.
Use a small amount and rub it gently into the affected area.
HC45 Hydrocortisone Cream should not be used for longer than 7 consecutive days. If there is no improvement to the skin after 7 days, stop using HC45 Cream and consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not apply HC45 Cream to broken or infected skin.
Always wash your hands after using HC45 Cream.

- cetostearyl alcohol
- emulsifying wax
- liquid paraffin
- phenoxyethanol
- purified water
- white soft paraffin
