Does Eroxon Work for Erectile Dysfunction?

Eroxon gel has been studied in 2 phase III clinical trials involving men with mild, moderate, and severe erectile dysfunction. Results show that it can help a meaningful proportion of men achieve erections firm enough for sexual activity when used correctly.

A multi-centre randomised, double-blind group study involving 250 men used validated questionnaires to measure erectile function. It found that in around 60% of intercourse attempts, users experienced an erection within 10 minutes, while 63% showed a meaningful improvement compared with their baseline. Men with severe ED benefited the most, with improvement rates close to 80%. Any recorded side effects were uncommon and generally mild.

Meanwhile, a multi-centre, randomised, open-label, parallel-group study over 24 weeks compared Eroxon with tadalafil, a commonly prescribed oral ED medicine. It found that around 61% of men using Eroxon achieved a clinically meaningful improvement, with response rates being particularly high in men with severe ED (up to 87%). In addition, fewer side effects were reported in those taking Eroxon compared with the oral treatment (5mg tadalafil).

It should be noted that there is a lack of additional independent studies to corroborate these results. The FM57 and FM71 trials were sponsored in part by the manufacturer. However, results were published in a high-impact journal with an independent peer-review process.

Together, these trials show that Eroxon is an effective, fast-acting option for ED, especially for men who prefer not to take tablets or who can't take oral formulations. Based on this evidence, Eroxon is approved in the UK and EU as the first clinically proven over-the-counter topical treatment for ED.

How to Use Eroxon Gel

Eroxon gel should be used just before sexual activity. Unscrew the cap and pierce the film seal with the cap. Squeeze the tube firmly to empty its contents (1 dose). Apply directly to the entire head of the penis. If you have a foreskin, gently peel it back as far as comfortable before applying the gel. The gel should be gently massaged over the head of the penis for around 15 seconds. This can form part of foreplay with a partner.

After application, stimulation is usually required for the erection to develop. The gel is designed for on-demand use and should not be applied well in advance of sexual activity. Hands should be washed after use, and contact with eyes or broken skin should be avoided.

Eroxon Stimgel Dose Information
