What is Fucidin H cream used for?
Fucidin H cream is used to treat eczema and dermatitis, where the skin is also infected with bacteria. The treatment is available in 30g and 60g tubes from Prescription Doctor.

How does Fucidin H Cream work?
Fucidin H antibiotic cream contains 2% fusidic acid and 1% hydrocortisone.
Fusidic acid is an antibiotic that kills germs and bacteria on the skin. Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the skin.
How long does Fucidin H Cream take to work?
You should notice an improvement in your condition after a few days of using Fucidin H cream.
Fucidin H cream should only be used for a maximum of 2 weeks.
How do I use Fucidin H Cream?

Always wash your hands before using Fucidin H cream.
- Apply a small dose of Fucidin H to the afflicted region of skin twice a day for up to 2 weeks.

If you apply more Fucidin H cream than you should, wipe it away with a tissue or paper towel and dispose of it carefully.
Using more Fucidin H cream than prescribed will not treat your condition any faster, but may increase your risk of side effects.

- Perioral dermatitis (red, spotty rash around your mouth and chin)
- Rosacea
- Skin conditions caused by tuberculosis or syphilis
- Skin conditions caused only by bacteria
- Viral skin conditions (cold sores, herpes, chickenpox)

Side effects
All medicines can cause side effects, though not everybody gets them. It's important to remain aware of any potential side effects while using Fucidin H Cream.
Side effects of Fucidin H Cream may include:
- Itching, burning or irritation at the site of application
- Itchy rash or skin inflammation at the site of application
- Worsening of your eczema
Hydrocortisone may cause the following side effects to occur:
- Changes to body hair growth
- Changes to how your adrenal gland works
- Excessive sweating
- Glaucoma
- Lightening of your skin colour
- Red, spotty rash around your mouth or chin
- Skin redness
- Small veins in your skin becoming more visible
- Stretch marks
- Thinning of the skin

Allergies
