Ezetrol is a type of mediation which lowers the level of cholesterol in adults.
It specifically lowers the levels of LDL cholesterol, known as “bad” cholesterol, and raises levels of HDL cholesterol, known as “good” cholesterol.
Your doctor may prescribe Ezetrol (ezetimibe) alongside another cholesterol lowering drug called a statin, such as simvastatin or pravastatin. All cholesterol lowering drugs are more effective when taken with a healthy diet low in saturated fats and triglycerides.
Ezetrol is a brand of ezetimibe from Organon Pharma - a spin-off company under the ownership of the American pharmaceutical company Merck & Co.
You can buy Ezetrol online from Prescription Doctor's UK pharmacy. To begin your order, simply press the green button and fill out or medical form for one of our doctors to review. If the doctor approves your order before 3pm on a weekday, our UK pharmacy can dispense and dispatch your item the same day via a discreet next-day delivery.
Cholesterol is a type of fat (lipid), which is made by your liver and found in certain types of food. Cholesterol is necessary for good health, however, high levels of cholesterol can cause health problems.
High cholesterol is caused when you have too much of a fatty substance called cholesterol in your body. High levels of cholesterol in your bloodstream can build up in your blood vessel walls, causing blockages.
This can lead to serious health issues if left untreated, such as an increased risk of having a stroke and heart disease.
It is important to get your cholesterol level checked regularly, especially if you are over the age of 40 or have underlying medical conditions such as diabetes.
With Prescription Doctor, you can buy a home cholesterol level test online. Our rapid test kit gives you accurate results in just a few minutes.
Ezetrol contains ezetimibe, which is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor. It works by stopping cholesterol from being absorbed into the bloodstream via the small intestine.
It also blocks cholesterol from the bile duct, that is released into the intestine, from being reabsorbed back into the bloodstream.
By taking Ezetrol, the levels of cholesterol in your bloodstream will reduce.
It may take up to 2 weeks for ezetimibe, the active ingredient of Ezetrol, to effectively lower your cholesterol level.
You may not notice any change in how you feel, though you should continue to take Ezetrol as prescribed by your doctor.
