What are Cerumol Ear Drops?

Cerumol Ear Drops soften and loosen stubborn earwax that may be affecting your hearing. They contain the active ingredients propylene glycol, dicaprylocaprate, butoxyl, turpentine oil, and chlorocresol. Apply the drops directly into the affected ear twice daily for 3 days.

What is Excessive Earwax (Earwax Impaction)?

Although earwax usually falls out on its own, anything placed in the ear can block it from leaving and may even push it further into the ear canal.

Excessive earwax may cause temporary hearing loss. It can also result in earache, itchiness, dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and even an ear infection.

How Do Cerumol Ear Drops Work?

The product works by loosening the earwax that has built up inside the ear. This makes it easier for earwax to fall out naturally.

How Long Do Cerumol Ear Drops Take to Work?

The standard treatment duration for Cerumol Ear Drops is 3 days, after which loosened earwax should come out on its own or be easy to remove.

How Do I Use Cerumol Ear Drops?

Use Cerumol Ear Drops only in the ear. Your clinician may give you specific instructions on how to use them, depending on the severity of your earwax issue. You should always follow their instructions.

To use Cerumol Ear Drops, you should:

1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
2. Tilt your head sideways so your affected ear points upward.
3. Using the dropper, place 5 drops of oil in the ear, being careful not to let the dropper touch the ear.
4. Gently massage around the outside of the ear. You may feel a tingling sensation as the liquid enters the ear. This is normal and harmless.
5. Keep your head tilted and let the drops sit for a few minutes to reach the eardrum.
6. Use a clean tissue to wipe away any excess solution that runs from the ear.
7. Repeat in the other ear if needed.
8. Use the drops twice a day for 3 days, or as long as your clinician tells you. 

Cerumol Ear Drops Side Effects

Cerumol Ear Drops can cause side effects in some people, although not everyone will experience them. They affect the ear that the drops are inserted into and include:

• Local irritation
• Redness
• Rash

Cerumol Ear Drops Warnings

Cerumol Ear Drops may not be suitable for everyone. Do not use Cerumol Ear Drops if:

• The dropper is broken or damaged
