Earol Swim contains a blend of olive oil and tea tree oil and comes in a metered spray bottle. It is used to treat Otitis externa, also known as “Swimmer’s Ear.”
Most cases of Otitis externa are caused by a bacterial infection, although the condition can also be caused by irritation, fungal infections, and allergies.
Repeated exposure to water in the ear creates an ideal environment for bacteria to grow, making the ear canal more vulnerable to infection.
Swimmer’s ear can cause ear pain, itchiness, and discharge from the ear. Others have suffered from temporary hearing loss and, in rare cases, malignant otitis externa.
This medicine works by covering the ear canal with an anti-bacterial, water resistant barrier which prevents the spread of infection and irritation when swimming.
Use the medicine once in both ears before entering the water.
Before using, heat the bottle in the palm of your hand and shake well.
Press the actuator 3 or 4 times until you see the spray leave the bottle. This will ensure that the product is prepared for use.
Lift the upper ear upwards and backwards.
Hold the bottle in an upright position with the nozzle aimed into the ear canal and press the actuator.
Repeat procedure for the opposite ear.
Once finished, remove the actuator button and rinse it in hot water before placing it back on the actuator.
If you forget to use Earol Swim Tea tree oil spray, use it as soon as you remember and continue to use it as you would normally. Do not use more of the spray to make up for a missed dose.
Earol Swim is administered in a metered dose spray bottle, which delivers a controlled dose of treatment to the ears. It is recommended that you stick to one measured dose per application.
Although there are no reported side effects from over or under dosing with this treatment, if you feel that you have had an allergic reaction, stop using this product and contact your GP right away.
While it is unlikely that alcohol will affect the efficacy of Earol Swim ear spray, it may aggravate the effects of Swimmer’s ear. You should limit alcohol consumption when treating Swimmer’s ear.
Earol Swim Tea tree oil spray should not affect your ability to drive or operate machinery.
