What is Earol Swim?

Earol Swim contains a blend of olive oil, mineral oil, and tea tree oil and comes in a metered spray bottle. It is used to prevent water from becoming trapped in your ear during swimming and bathing, preventing conditions such as Otitis Externa, also known as “Swimmer’s Ear” and other bacterial ear infections.

If you swim regularly, use Earol Swim before entering the water to help prevent ear infections. It comes in a handy carry case, so you can pack it with your swim gear with confidence.

What is Swimmer's Ear?

Swimmer's ear, also known as otitis externa, is typically caused by a bacterial infection; however, irritation, fungal infections, and allergies can also contribute to the condition.

Repeated exposure to water in the ear creates an ideal environment for bacteria to grow, making the ear canal more vulnerable to infection.

Swimmer’s ear can cause pain, itchiness, and discharge in the ears. In some cases, swimmer's ear can cause hearing loss and, in rare cases, malignant otitis externa.

You can avoid swimmer's ear and other ear infections by keeping your ears clean and dry. 

How Does Earol Swim Work?

Earol Swim works as an invisible earplug during swimming and bathing. It delivers a fine, metered dose of natural olive, mineral, and tea tree oil into the outer ear canal to create a water-resistant, antibacterial barrier that repels water and prevents it from getting trapped in the ear during swimming, bathing, and diving.

The added tea tree oil acts as a natural biocide that kills bacteria and helps prevent water-borne ear infections, like otitis externa (Swimmer’s Ear).

Unlike physical earplugs, Earol Swim will not fall out mid-swim or completely block the ear. So your ears can function normally during your session while keeping water out.

Earol Swim remains effective for at least 6 hours after application. 

How Do I Use Earol Swim?

Before use, warm the bottle in your palm and shake it well. Use the spray once in each ear before swimming.

Prime the spray bottle by spraying it a few times into the air in front of you, until the spray is consistent. Do not point the spray nozzle at your face or anyone else.

Lift the upper ear upwards and backwards.
Hold the bottle upright, with the nozzle aimed into the ear canal. Spray it once into each ear.

Massage the small bump on the outside of the ear while moving your jaw up and down and left and right. When finished, remove the actuator button, rinse it in hot water, then place it back on the actuator.

Do not share your Earol Swim with anybody else. This can help prevent the spread of infections.

Warning: Earol Swim is flammable. Do not spray Earol Swim near naked flames or cigarettes.

What Should I Do if I Forget to Use Earol Swim?

If you forget to use Earol Swim Tea Tree Oil spray, use it as soon as you remember and continue using it as you usually would. Do not use more of the spray to make up for a missed dose.

What Should I Do if I Use Too Much Earol Swim Tea Tree Oil Spray?

Earol Swim is administered in a metered dose spray bottle, which delivers a controlled dose of treatment to the ears. It is recommended that you adhere to a single measured dose per application.

If you experience an allergic reaction, discontinue use of this product and consult your GP immediately.

Earol Swim Contraindications and Warnings

Although Earol Swim is an effective preventative ear spray to stop water from entering the ear and causing infection during swimming and bathing, it’s not suitable for everyone. Read the package leaflet that comes with the spray before use to make sure it is suitable for you.

Do not use Earol Swim if you are allergic to olive, vegetable, tea tree or mineral oils or any other ingredients listed in the spray. If you have an allergic reaction, stop using the spray and contact a doctor for advice.
