If you forget to take a dose of CosmoCol then you should take one as soon as you do remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, wait until the correct time and skip the missed dose. Never take a double dose to make up for missing an earlier one.
Since CosmoCol is a medication to be taken as required (up to three times in a 24-hour period) there are no specific timings for taking it.
Too much CosmoCol can cause severe stomach pains and abdominal swelling. It can also lead to diarrhoea and vomiting. If you take too much CosmoCol you should consult your doctor or a pharmacist as soon as possible.
You can drink alcohol while taking CosmoCol and alcohol will have no effect on the efficacy of the medication. However, alcohol can be problematic when suffering from constipation and should ideally be avoided.
CosmoCol will not impact your ability to drive or operate machinery.
CosmoCol should not be taken for more than two weeks at a time.
CosmoCol may take up to 3 days to take effect. If you do not notice an improvement in your condition after a week of taking CosmoCol, speak to your doctor.
CosmoCol should not be used for weight loss.
