Patient Reviews: How Forxiga Has Made a Difference

What is Forxiga?

Forxiga is an anti-diabetic, which contains the active ingredient, dapagliflozin. Forxiga is available in tablet form and is used to help control blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes.

What is Diabetes?

Diabetes is a metabolic disease that causes a person’s blood glucose level to become too high. The hormone known as insulin moves sugar from the blood into your cells to be stored or used for energy. When you have diabetes, your body either does not make enough insulin or it cannot effectively use the insulin that it does make.

Diabetes is a lifelong condition and there are two main types: Type 1 and Type 2. Type 2 diabetes is where the body does not produce the sufficient amount of insulin or when the body's cells do not react effectively to the insulin.

The pancreas produces insulin and it controls the amount of sugar in the blood. When you digest food, it enters into your bloodstream and then insulin moves glucose out of the blood and into your cells. It is then broken down to produce energy however; if you have diabetes, your body is unable to break it down. This is because there is either not enough insulin to regulate the level of glucose in the blood or the insulin produced is ineffective.

There are several factors that cause diabetes including lifestyle factors and genes. A family history of type 2 diabetes could also increase the risk of developing the condition at some point in your life.

Treating Diabetes

It is extremely important to treat diabetes because if the condition is left untreated it can lead to a number of health complications including: cardiovascular disease, nerve damage, kidney damage, eye damage and hearing impairment.

Your condition should be regularly monitored by your doctor to ensure the treatment remains effective. They will be able to determine the best course of treatment for you, including the right medications and appropriate changes to your diet and lifestyle.

It is crucial that you review your condition with your doctor before you buy Forxiga online.

How Does Forxiga Work?

Forxiga tablets contain the active ingredient dapagliflozin, which works by blocking a protein in the kidneys called sodium‑glucose co‑transporter 2 (SGLT2.)

SGLT2 absorbs glucose from the urine into the bloodstream as the blood is filtered in the kidneys. By taking Forxiga this will cause more glucose to be passed when urinating consequently reducing the levels of glucose in the blood.

How Do I Take Forxiga?

Forxiga tables are usually taken once daily. Swallow one tablet whole with a glass of water. Forxiga should be taken with food or straight after a meal.

You can buy Forxiga online from Prescription Doctor, however you should always speak to your doctor before taking any new medication.
