How Do Foundayo and Wegovy Compare

Arguably their biggest difference, and one of the major reasons one may prefer Foundayo over Wegovy pills, is their difference in administration. Foundayo is very lax, with only a few administration rules, while Wegovy pills must be taken under exact circumstances.

This is down to the molecules that make up their active ingredients. Semaglutide is a ‘peptide’, meaning it can only be absorbed into the body under particular conditions. Orforglipron, however, is a ‘small molecule’, meaning it does not require any conditions outside of the typical oral tablet instructions to be absorbed.

How Do You Take Foundayo?

Foundayo can be taken at any time of day, regardless of when you last ate or drank, or when you are next planning to eat or drink. Swallow it whole without chewing, splitting, or crushing. This is to ensure maximum effectiveness once it has entered your body.

How Do You Take Wegovy?

Wegovy pills, on the other hand, can only be taken after an 8-hour fast, and administration must then be followed by a further 30-minute fast, too. 8 hours may seem daunting at first glance, but most Wegovy users complete this period overnight while sleeping. It is much easier to take a Wegovy pill first thing in the morning than to fast for 8 hours during the waking day, though if you prefer this schedule for any reason, the option is available to you.

Food in the stomach can interrupt Wegovy pill absorption, potentially making that day’s dose much less effective, which is why the stomach must be empty before administration. This is also why there is a secondary 30-minute fast: no food, drink, or other oral medications may be ingested while Wegovy pills are being absorbed into the body, and it can only be taken with no more than 120ml of water. Like Foundayo, it must also not be crushed, chewed or split.

These extended fasts could be the main reason people would opt for Foundayo over Wegovy pills. However, they should not be the only reason.

How to Choose Between Wegovy and Foundayo

Beyond fasting, there are other factors to consider when choosing between the two treatments.
